On the Dubai Creek

The early history of Dubai centered on the Dubai Creek. It separated the two fishing villages and as they began to prosper the creek became the access for trade and shipping. Today one of the landmark dubai hotels, the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, stands watch over the creek and it’s own 100 berth marina. This hotel was designed with the shopper in mind as it is connected to the Festival City Shopping Center and it’s 550 shops and nearly 100 cafes and restaurants. In the evening guests are invited to stroll along the waterfront on the promenade enjoying the sights and sounds of this beautiful city.
