RIAA Victimizes Students

I was reading an article last night about how riaa victimizes students. Agents have made a habit of harassing students that are thought to be downloading music files illegally. The agents are also going after the universities they attend and even their mothers in what looks like an attempt to sue all of the residents of the United States. Apparently they are monitoring peer to peer systems that are used to download files. The article explained that over 3,000 letters have been sent to students and they are offering the kids a chance to negotiate a settlement prior to litigation. I am going to keep an eye on this to se how it turns out.
