How to Optimize My Website

Can anybody give me some direction on how to start optimizing my website? I built my first site this month and it is targeted to people who want to start their own small business, either on or off the internet. I reserached and wrote a specific business plan template for fifty different small businesses, and I am selling the package of templates on my website. I am also providing a lot of articles on my site about how to start a business, so I think the content of the articles should help with my search results. But I would like to compare seo software to see if there is a product that would help me. Is there anything that you would recommend?
