Should I Claim Federal Tax Credits?

The question of whether one should claim the federal tax credits that one qualifies for seems to have a simple answer to. Of course, if you are entitled to claim any tax credits at all, you should claim.
By claiming federal tax credits, you will pay less tax to the IRS. However, for some people, it is not that simple. This is because some people do not know what federal tax credits are, let alone whether they qualify for them. Some people simply do not want to mess with the IRS.
The headache and stress of having to spend more time on a tax return is enough to deter some people from claiming federal tax credits.
