Visiting the Lakes

There are a lot of lakes in Switzerland, and I would like to visit some of them with my husband. He really likes water sports and beaches, and I really like nice views, so hopefully we will each get a bit of what we like if we visit some of the lakes. We will also visit some of the tourist attractions around the lakes to see a bit more of what the country is like. Can anyone recommend good hotels in Switzerland near lakes? I would really love it if there was a lake that had good hiking trails nearby.
