The latest low budget mobile phones to be released are currently available for just £12 per month.
These deals are currently only available from Virgin Mobile, and mark a shift in marketing tactics within the sector. Clearly there is a move away from bundling high end handstes for high prices in favour of offering customers a cost cutting option.
Clearly these £12 a month 12 month contracts have been put together with one eye on the looming recession and are consistent with patterns seen in the wider retail sector.
What remains to be seen is how other networks respond to these competitive prices.
