Questions on Cremation

I am not quite sure where my religion stand on what to do with remains once someone passes away so I think that I will take a different approach to finding out for myself what I would be comfortable with. I would like to think that I could be buried in a casket but then I thought about the fact that it may be a waste to hold such a large piece of land for a body that no longer was occupied. I think that I will look for a Crematory Dallas TX facility and see what they have to say about the religious aspect of burials and cremation.
