I Wasn’t Paying Attention

The other day, a friend of ours gave my wife and I a call and told us that she wanted to take us out for lunch. She had recently gone through a pretty rough breakup, and we were there to help her out. She took us to a new restaurant in town, a place that sold sandwiches, and we sat in Rustic Furniture. I liked it a lot. And I found myself paying more attention to my surroundings, instead of the conversation that was going on around me. My wife had to kick me several times under the table to bring me back.
