Stress testing for heart problem

There are many people who have heart problems but appear healthy otherwise. Many of them will encounter sudden cardiac arrest during physical activities. Heart stress testing is a way to check on heart problem, specifically for a blocked or semi-blocked artery which will only becomes evident during physical exertion. This test is done for persons who are at risk of ischaemic heart disease. The ischaemia only becomes evident in men at an average age of 45, although younger persons may in some rare cases also suffer ischaemia. Heart stress testing is also done for persons with diabetes, high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, high cholesterol level and smokers..
