I have had pain as the result of an auto accident and have gone through chiropractic sessions with no relief although I blame that on the practitioner rather than the modality; I have used a Pain Management Specialist who helped reduce my pain with medications, and I have used physical therapy to learn how to strengthen muscles in my neck and shoulders as well as the pain in back of head and shoulders. I just saw a web site that offers self adjusting techniques, which could be interesting to find out about. There are modalities such as yoga, Pilates, and Qi Qong as well.
