How Do I know if I have Glaucoma?
May 9th, 2009 by admin
Actually you can’t tell in most cases because 90% of glaucoma chronic glaucoma which means it is insidious and you will not be aware of it. A good analogy would be high blood pressure which also individuals will not be aware of until it is detected in there doctor’s office. glaucoma is also a pressure disease in most cases and is only detectable by measuring the pressure in your eye with a simple, painless test. This explanation is oversimplified to some extent, but it gives you the idea. Just like high blood pressure can be asymptomatic (no symptoms) until its too late – like having a stroke – glaucoma is also asymptomatic until vision is irreversibly lost.
