March 14th, 2008 by admin
Pregnancy is one the most delicate time for a women. Hormonal changes during pregnancy may exaggerate the body’s normal response to dental plaque. This hormonal increase increased the way the gum tissues react to the bacteria in plaque, resulting in an increased likelihood that a pregnant woman, if her daily plaque control is not adequate, will develop bleeding gums. Bleeding gum pregnancy is common because pregnancy generally worsens any existing gum problems, sometimes dramatically. These cases, however, can be avoided with proper oral hygiene and taking good care of your teeth and gums. Avoiding infections on your teeth and gums can help prevent developing any form of dental threats that can endanger your pregnancy.
