My Favorite Internship

Throughout my college career, I did three internships. One was in an immigration law office, and consisted mainly of updating the library database on the computer, with a little side research project. The next was pretty cool, I was teaching Haitian women in the Dominican Republic about health and nutrition issues for their malnourished kids. But my favorite internship was designing a nutrition program with UNICEF in southern Sudan. I did a lot of research, including holding community meetings with women to find out what they currently fed their kids and what foods they had available. And then we planned the materials for the education program, and how the program was to be set up.
