helping the gas burn more effectively

I came across the website www.getgassavings.com looking for information about fuel treatment and found information about the ethos fuel refomulation. They were talking about when California had really bad pollution, especially in the Los Angeles area. Well, in the 80′s the California government set a mandate for emissions standar for gasoline sold in California. They gave the oil companies 2 years to comply.
Oil and gasoline companies, like Shell and Chevron knew very well that there was an easy way to do this. The down-side was… if they made the gasoline burn more effectively… it would increase your car’s mileage. Which is what this ethos is doing – helping the gas burn more effectively
