Advantages of Oil Pastels for Pastel Painting
February 28th, 2008 by admin
Using oil pastels in a pastel painting is a common practice these days. They are used by many artists because of their easy and convenient application. The thickness of oil pastels is more like crayons. It is the thickness that makes each character stand out on the canvas. In other words, they bring clarity and visibility to the character and make the painting clearer and easily understandable. Most pastels contain dust like substance and using oil pastels in that case is a healthy option. It resists crumbling and is free from dust substance.
